A Lot like Lot?(Say that five times quickly)
2 Peter 2:7-9
A Lot of sin:
Me First Gen 13:5-11
Psalm 1:1 & 1 Cor 15:33
I’m okay, you’re okay Gen 19:15-16
If you are vexed then something is wrong, the Holy Spirit speaks!
Failed father and grandfather Gen 19:30-37
Getting high doesn’t release you from responsibility, but rather relaxes your resolve to keep healthy boundries. As in hypnosis you cannot get a drunk person to do what they are absolutely against.
Separate yourself, become untangled!
Remove all things that hold sway over your heart to the exclusion of Christ.
Separate from close relationships with ungodly (and especially toxic) people.
If you are holding on to a relationship on the hope you can share Christ, then do so and see what happens?
A Lot of grace 2 Peter 2:9; 1 Cor 10:13
Separate Gen 39:12 Joseph fled
Quote Matt 4:4,6,10 “It is written”
It comforts me and even fills me with hope that Scripture would describe Lot as righteous. Lot failed in so may ways yet God still brought conviction into his life. That is grace! That is the powerful presence of the Holy Spirit. If God is willing to fervently seek out such a immoral believer as Lot, then we can be sure God will never let anything or anybody separate us from His love.
