Col 3:4 We shall appear with Him
When the resurrected Christ ascended into Heaven He was welcomed as a King (Dan 7:13-14) and seated on His heavenly throne. (Eph 1:20-23) The souls of departed believers are present with Him in Heaven. (2 Cor 5:7-10) We do not know what form they take, but we know they are indeed with Jesus. (John 14:1-3) Present believers enjoy positional blessing with Christ in the Heavenlies. (Eph 2:6) When Christ shall appear He will be surrounded by a host (cloud) (Acts 1:11, Heb 12:1) who will witness one another’s unification of resurrected, glorified bodies with redeemed souls. (I Thess 3:13; 4:14-17). We who are alive will have our bodies transformed in a moment into the same eternal, glorified forms that Jesus and the saints gone before share. (I John 3:2)
I Peter 5:4 A crown of glory when He appears
Jesus appears as a gentle shepherd to His children, but a harsh judge to unbelievers (Rev 19:11-16)
We know that one of the crowns is the people whom you helped live for Jesus through it all. (1 Cor 3:10-15; I Thess 2:19; Phil 4:1) We also will also receive a crown of life and one of righteousness. (2 Tim 4:8; James 1:12, Rev 2:10)
I John 3:2-3 When He appears we shall see Him as He is, and we shall be just like Him.
Even with the biblical record there is much about Jesus we do not yet know. (John 21:25)
He will always exceed our understanding. (Rev 19:12)
